Artists find a beat, book a studio session to record vocals, then book a sound engineer to mix and master the track. You are the final step — visible to artists who already have vocals ready and are prepared to book and pay through the platform.

What you can do once registered
List your rates, take mix & mastering bookings, get paid, and keep every client project organised in one place.
Receive mix requests
Artists send mix & mastering requests with notes, reference tracks, and studio files already attached. Those requests arrive in the email address you used to create your Pratst account — so watch that inbox.
Approve and get paid
Accept a request, collect a deposit, deliver the mix, then request the remaining balance before uploading final masters.
Manage client trackcards
Track every active mix from Producer suite — no chasing WhatsApps for stems, references, or payment status.

Optional: add a studio profile
If you also record vocals, list a Studio profile on the same account so artists can book you for both the booth and the mix. Prefer working with studios? They can invite you as an affiliated engineer from their profile.
To list a recording studio yourself: My Profile → Producer suite → Manage Service Profiles → Create studio profile.
To accept a studio affiliation: open invitations on your engineer profile (Studios step) after your profile exists.

Deposits and balances run through PayFast. Artists pay the rate you list — Pratst takes a 12% platform fee from your earnings when you withdraw, not added on top for the artist.

Creating an account and profiles costs nothing. You only earn when artists book you — and the 12% fee only applies when you withdraw earnings.

How to get set up

Create a Pratst account
Sign up with your email to get started. Keep an eye on that inbox — mix & mastering booking requests and session updates are sent to the email you use for your account.

Open Manage Service Profiles
After login, go to My Profile → Producer suite → Manage Service Profiles. That is where you create, edit, and advertise your sound engineer listing.

Create your Sound Engineer profile
From Manage Service Profiles, choose Create sound engineer profile. Complete the wizard — profile details, credits, photo, location, and mix & master rate — then review and submit for approval.

Optional: add a studio profile
If you also run a recording booth, create a Studio profile from Manage Service Profiles so artists can book you for both recording and mix & mastering. Studios can also invite you as an affiliated engineer after their profile exists.

Wait for approval, then advertise
Profiles stay Pending until reviewed (usually within 24–48 hours). When approved, Advertise service turns on automatically. Use the toggle on Manage Service Profiles anytime to pause or resume your listing.
